Overview

Are you an experienced pharmacy assistant who can perform a wide range of pharmacy services to deliver the best possible care for patients? The MSE Pharmacy Homecare and Procurement Department is seeking an enthusiastic, pro-active and motivated Pharmacy Assistant to join their Southend department. The post holder will undertake all administrative duties associated with homecare and procurement, under the direction of the Lead homecare and procurement technician.

Responsibilities
  • Homecare prescription processing
  • Managing Homecare Mailbox
  • Printing and processing homecare invoices
  • Ensuring timely invoicing of medication orders
  • Managing off contract claims with suppliers
  • Reviewing outstanding orders and escalating before current stock is exhausted
  • Maintaining relationships with hospital suppliers from a range of companies
  • Assist and resolve supplier invoice queries
Qualifications and skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Motivated, flexible and adaptable, able to work well in a changing environment
  • Purchasing experience is desirable but not essential
