Birmingham Community Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a reliable and friendly Dispensing Assistant to join our community pharmacy team. Working under the supervision of the Responsible Pharmacist, you will help provide a safe, efficient and caring service to our patients.

You will accurately dispense medicines, label and check items, process NHS and private prescriptions, and assist with stock control while maintaining confidentiality and high-quality customer service.

Qualificações

• Level 2 Pharmacy Services / Dispensing Assistant qualification (GPhC-approved), or willingness to complete it.
• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to follow SOPs and instructions consistently.
• A good team player who communicates well with colleagues.
• Friendly, polite and patient-focused manner.
• Honest, trustworthy and dependable.
• Hard-working, punctual and able to work well under pressure.

Responsabilidades

• Accurately dispense medicines in line with prescriptions, the SOPs and pharmacist instructions.
• Label, assemble and check medicines carefully, referring queries to the pharmacist.
• Receive and process NHS and private prescriptions, including electronic prescriptions.
• Hand out medicines to patients and provide information, referring clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Manage stock, including ordering, receiving, rotating and storing medicines correctly.
• Keep the dispensary clean, tidy and well organised.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Support the wider team with counter duties and customer service as needed.
