Job summary

Boots in the UK is hiring a Dispenser to support the pharmacy team in-store. You will dispense prescriptions, provide medicines advice and ensure safe sale of medicines, while delivering excellent patient care.

You will work closely with the Pharmacist and other colleagues, following SOPs and embracing new systems to improve accuracy and efficiency, with opportunities to train further as a Pharmacy Technician.

Qualifications

• NVQ2 Pharmacy Advisor completed or working towards MPharm first year.
• Current UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescriptions while ensuring the safe supply of medicines.
• Work with healthcare professionals to deliver pharmacy services.
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as needed.
• Follow SOPs for safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions.
• Keep up to date with store innovations and comply with processes.
• Assist patients in managing repeats and medicines to promote adherence.
