Job summary

The Boots Company PLC in the UK is hiring a Dispenser to join our store pharmacy team. You will assist the pharmacist with dispensing prescriptions, patient care, and delivering safe, compliant pharmacy services in-store.

Successful candidates will have the Pharmacy Adapter NVQ2 or be working towards an MPharm year 1, hold UK right to work, and be ready to contribute to high standards of patient safety and service. UK-only applications considered.

Qualifications

• Completed the Pharmacy Advisor qualification NVQ2 (or equivalent) or are currently working towards and have completed the first year of an MPharm qualification.
• Current and valid UK right to work. This role is not eligible for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker Visa.
• Experience in community pharmacy is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prescription dispensing while ensuring safe supply of medicines (ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing and collection).
• Work with other healthcare professionals to manage and deliver pharmacy services
• Provide care and advice to patients about medicines and refer queries to the Pharmacist as appropriate
• Follow SOPs to support safe and legal dispensing of prescriptions
• Keep up to date with new store innovations and comply with processes
• Support patients to manage their prescriptions and medicines to promote adherence and reduce waste
