Job summary

Tesco Pharmacy is hiring a Pharmacy Dispenser to support the daily operation of a modern Tesco Pharmacy within our stores. You will dispense prescription medicines with care, provide friendly advice on medicines and services, and help customers find the right products while upholding high standards of accuracy and compliance.

Shifts are scheduled within availability windows; minimum 16 hours per week with some locations offering 12 hours.

Qualifications

• Experience or qualifications gained from working in a Pharmacy environment.
• A desire to train and develop into the Pharmacy field
• A passion for delivering great service, greeting every customer with a smile, and serving them with pride while helping them find the right products and solutions.
• The ability to build rapport quickly so customers leave feeling confident, supported, and reassured, having had a great experience at the Pharmacy counter.

• Supporting the daily operation of a modern Tesco Pharmacy as part of a collaborative team.
• Accurately dispense prescription medicines with strong attention to detail and customer care.
• Providing friendly, confident advice to customers on medicines, common ailments, and available pharmacy services.
• Understanding customer needs and recommend suitable products responsibly.
• Handle queries within competence and escalating when needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures.
• Ensure all prescription administration is completed accurately and on time.
• Support promotional activities and company initiatives.

Tesco Pharmacy Dispenser pay starts at £13.70 per hour, rising to £14.97 in stores within the M25. Some locations may offer additional payments. We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours per week, though roles from 12 hours are also available.

Your contracted hours will be scheduled within the availability windows shown, with at least 3 weeks’ notice of your shifts. If your availability is close to what we’re looking for, we still encourage you to apply.
