Job summary

Montu, a leading digital health company, seeks a UK-qualified Pharmacy dispenser to support the supply of cannabis-based medicines (CBPM) in a private pharmacy. You will work with specialist Clinical Pharmacists to improve patient access while maintaining accuracy and regulatory compliance.

You will validate prescriptions, handle patient data, support governance, and ensure safe, timely delivery of CBPM. Excellent communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified Pharmacy dispenser required.
• CPD-accredited cannabis education programme preferred (provided if not yet).
• High attention to detail and ability to work accurately under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Receive and validate prescriptions for clinical check.
• Process patient information accurately and securely.
• Support Responsible Pharmacist and Technicians in daily operations.
• Serve as first point of contact for pharmacy queries.
• Maintain records for CMBP supply and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain stock and security of CMBP on site.
• Communicate prescriptions to the Department of Health as required.
• Support governance to ensure safe operation of the pharmacy.

What is the job?

Working as a Pharmacy dispenser supporting the supply of CMBP in a specialist Private pharmacy. This is a niche role in a growing area. The successful candidate will be working alongside specialist Clinical Pharmacists to make CMBP more accessible for all patients.

What will you be doing?

• Receiving and validating prescriptions ready for a clinical check.
• Processing patient information appropriately.
• Supporting the Responsible Pharmacist & Technicians in the daily operations of the Pharmacist.
• Being the first point of contact for any queries to the Pharmacy.
• Maintaining relevant records for the supply of CMBP.
• Maintaining stock and security of any CMBP on site.
• Maintaining communication of prescription to the Department of Health to meet Regulatory Requirements.
• Supporting governance in the Pharmacy to ensure the pharmacy is operating as safely as possible.

What do you need?

• A UK qualified Pharmacy dispenser
• Ideally Undertaken CPD-accredited medical cannabis educational programme. Through this will be provided for the successful candidate
• Self-motivated individual with high levels of attention to detail, able to work accurately, identifying errors quickly and easily
• Experience in working in the pharmacy dispensary either primary and/or secondary environment
• Has attention to detail, patience and the ability to remain calm during stressful situations
• Excellence in communication skills with staff, patients and other healthcare professionals.
• Professional, ethical and committed to providing excellent customer care
• Excellent computer literacy with good working knowledge of office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
