Job summary

Montu, a leading digital health company specialising in cannabis-based medicines, seeks a UK-qualified dispensing pharmacist. You will supervise dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance and delivering excellent patient care in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a valid GPhC registration, CPD-accredited cannabis education (preferred), and a minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.

Qualifications

• UK-qualified, registered Pharmacist with a valid GPhC number.
• CPD-accredited medical cannabis education preferred (training provided if necessary).
• Minimum of 2 years post-qualification experience.

Responsibilities

• Clinically check prescriptions for controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis.
• Ensure timely availability and dispatch of medicines for patients.
• Comply with regulatory requirements for ordering, receiving, storing, and dispensing medicines.
• Maintain accurate records in line with GPhC standards.
• Provide patient counselling on safe use of medicines and specialised equipment.
• Guide prescribers to minimise supply disruptions.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure safe and compliant supply chains.
• Act as Responsible Pharmacist, maintaining security and supervising staff.
• Work with multidisciplinary teams to manage safe prescribing practices.
• Maintain electronic health records and implement regulatory changes.
• Support governance and operational teams to ensure GPhC compliance.
• Contribute to efficient running of pharmacy services through stock monitoring and audits.

You will be responsible for supervising and managing the dispensing of controlled drug prescriptions for medicinal cannabis, ensuring compliance with stringent regulations, and delivering outstanding patient care. This role requires a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who is committed to excellence in pharmacy operations.

What will you be doing?
