About the Role

To be employed in this role, you must pass an enhanced safeguarding check.

Our stores operate 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, which brings a wide variety of shift patterns. If you're looking for flexible working to fit around your lifestyle, then look no further! We'll work with you on your shifts, but weekend working is a requirement of the role, and we may need to be flexible with your work pattern.

Our in-store pharmacies are hugely popular with our customers, who expect the same warmth and friendliness they receive elsewhere in the store. You'll need to be confident and relaxed discussing personal health issues, resolving customer problems quickly, and guiding customers to the right products.

You will also be responsible for accurately assembling and processing prescriptions, promoting pharmacy services (e.g., Prescription Collection Service, Medicines Use Reviews), supporting the Pharmacist with patient services, and adhering to Standard Operating Procedures.

We will support your development through an accredited course to become a qualified Medicine Counter Assistant within 6 months, progressing to training as a Dispensing Assistant, thereby advancing your pharmacy career.

You'll be naturally friendly, highly organized, and eager to work with your team to deliver excellent results. Good computer skills, attention to detail, strong communication, problem-solving abilities, and a passion for helping people are essential. You care about providing a great healthcare experience and assisting customers in finding what they need.
