Overview

We are seeking a detail‑oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support dispensing under the supervision of a pharmacist, deliver excellent customer service, and contribute to a well‑organised pharmacy operation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the dispensing of medications under the supervision of a pharmacist, maintaining accuracy and adherence to legal requirements.
  • Offer exceptional customer service, ensuring all patients feel heard, supported, and valued.
  • Contribute to the pharmacy team by maintaining an organised and efficient workflow.
  • Manage inventory by organising, stocking, and ensuring the integrity of pharmaceuticals.
  • Utilise computer systems for processing prescriptions, managing stock levels, and handling customer queries.
  • Maintain a spotless and orderly pharmacy environment.
Qualifications
  • foundation of pharmacy knowledge, with a preference for those holding an NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services or equivalent experience.
  • Exceptional customer service skills; displaying warmth, empathy, and patience.
  • A keen eye for detail, ensuring the accuracy and safety of all pharmacy operations.
  • Strong teamwork capabilities, thriving in a collaborative work setting.
  • Computer literacy, comfortable with learning and utilising various pharmacy software systems.
  • Outstanding communication traits, ability to problem-solve, and the initiative to adapt quickly in a bustling environment.
Hours & Benefits

Your normal contractual hours of work will be 15 hours a week. These hours will be organised according to a rota system covering Monday to Friday 9.00am – 6.00pm and Saturday 09:00am–1:00pm, which will be published one week in advance. Before applying, please ensure availability for these hours across the week.
