A prominent healthcare organization in Wales is seeking an Assistant Technical Officer to join its pharmacy team. The role involves managing vaccine stock, participating in medicines management, and supporting pharmacy logistics. Ideal candidates will have essential communication and organizational skills, and work towards an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy. To assemble and manage vaccine stock for delivery across CTM UHB. In addition there will be a need to manage and assemble stock for wholesale customers and to process controlled drug requisitions. All assembling and dispensing work is checked.
To participate in the ward based medicines management service, assessing patients own medicines, and organising supplies.
To support the Pharmacy Logistics Service in providing safe, effective and efficient pharmacy purchasing and distribution services including vaccination services and wholesale dealership of prescription medication.
An exciting opportunity for a Band 3 Assistant Technical Officer has become available to join the pharmacy team across Cwm Taf Morgannwg University Health Board. The post holder will be expected to travel across sites including spending time in Ysbyty Cwm Rhondda.
Our ATOs are valued members of the Pharmacy team and this role is an opportunity to develop further to support the Pharmacy staff working in all areas of Pharmacy. You will gain experience across a variety of specialties, working closely with Technicians and Pharmacists to deliver a high quality, patient focused medicines management services.
You must possess excellent communication and organisational skills in order to provide an efficient and safe pharmacy service including the vaccination service and WDA contract.

Applicants must have or be willing to work towards an NVQ level 2 in Pharmacy Service skills / Pharmaceutical Sciences. English and Mathematics GCSE to a level C or above is essential.
