We are currently looking for enthusiastic, pro-active and motivated Pharmacy Assistants to join our team in supporting the Pharmacy Technicians in our friendly Technical Services Units. The Trust comprises of 3 Aseptic units across the 3 hospital sites, these posts are based at Basildon / Orsett but with the requirement to work at any of the 3 hospital sites when required.
To be successful in your application you will require a minimum of GCSE English Language and Mathematics to a Grade C / 4 (or equivalent).
Previous experience within a Pharmacy environment is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
The posts involve manufacturing a variety of different types of medicines Aseptically prepared for patients in a controlled manufacturing environment and also working in our busy pre-packing unit.
It can involve measuring drug volumes using syringes and needles to prepare intravenous medication. You will need to be able to work accurately, efficiently and follow procedures at all times. Cleaning of the area is an essential part of the role.
Due to the critical nature of our work, you will have to meet the highest standards of discipline, personal hygiene and attention to detail.

Manufacture of aseptically prepared medicines in a Section 10 / Licensed Aseptic Unit.
Undertaking packing / labeling of medicines in the Pre-Pack unit supplying to all Trust sites.
Cleaning of department following strict cleaning regimes.
Responsible for following Standard Operating Procedures at all times
