Job summary

Somerset NHS Foundation Trust in Yeovil District Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual to join the inpatient pharmacy team. The role is full-time and rotates between the dispensary and distribution areas.

Working hours are 9:00–17:30 (1 hour lunch), Monday to Friday, with one day a later shift 9:30–18:00. You will undertake mandatory training and accuracy assessments, with training provided as advised by the GPhC.

Qualifications

• Willing to participate in a training programme as advised by the GPhC.
• Previous pharmacy experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.

Job description

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our inpatient pharmacy team at Yeovil District Hospital.

This is a full-time post rotating between the dispensary and distribution areas of the inpatient pharmacy. Working hours will be 9am-5.30pm (1hr unpaid lunch) Monday to Friday. One of these days will need to be a later shift of 9.30am to 6pm. We work approximately 1 in 9 weekends (Sat and Sun) and one bank holiday per year.

You will need to be willing to take part in a basic level training programme as advised by the GPhC. Previous pharmacy experience would be advantageous but not essential as training will be provided. You need to be willing to take part in all mandatory training and relevant accuracy assessments
