An opportunity has arisen for an assistant to join our pharmacy procurement team responsible for purchasing medicines for the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The procurement team manages the ordering of over £20 million worth of medicines annually. We seek a candidate with strong skills and attention to detail, who is a good team player, hardworking, and enthusiastic about supporting our services.
The role requires a good understanding of IT systems, as most ordering is electronic. You will need to update Excel spreadsheets and interact competently with other Microsoft applications. Responsibilities include daily medicine ordering, liaising with wholesalers and suppliers to ensure availability for clinical teams, processing invoices, and chasing out-of-stock medicines.
