Job overview
We are inviting applications for clinical fellow posts in the Critical Care department at King's College Hospital. The department covers both the Denmark Hill and Princess Royal University Hospital sites. Shortlisted candidates will be asked to express a preference at interview. The successful candidate will gain experience working in a large tertiary Critical Care department under the mentorship of consultants with diverse sub-specialist interests, including trauma, neurology, neurosurgery, cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, haematology, and haemoncology.
The successful applicants will be assigned to one of seven critical care units—six at Denmark Hill and one at Princess Royal University Hospital—working as part of a team of nine resident doctors responsible for the daily management of patients, supervised by a consultant intensivist.
Each unit has at least two day on-call resident doctors and one overnight. The units are supported by senior clinical fellows and advanced critical care practitioners, along with on-call consultants.
