Job description
Overview

The general pharmacy department is looking for a pharmacy assistant to support the Cancer services team by undertaking administrative and stock control duties involved with Immunoglobulins (IVIGs).

This position is for 16 hours per week, but flexible in how those hours are used (for example four 4-hour days or two 8-hour days).

Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and stock control support for Immunoglobulins (IVIGs) within the pharmacy.
  • Work as part of a team or autonomously when performing ward duties during top-up periods.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Good organisational skills
  • Demonstrate high levels of accuracy in all areas of work
  • Ability to input data and work with PCs and other information systems
  • Willingness to undertake further education, training and validation before undertaking the duties required of this post
  • Willing to participate in GDP training to meet the requirements of the wholesale dealer Licence
  • Complete all mandatory training as requested by the Trust
