Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant

We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced pharmacy assistant to join our busy, friendly pharmacy department. The role involves delivering a high-quality, patient-focused pharmacy service.

Key qualities required: Self-motivated, flexible, with good communication and organisational skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a busy, physically demanding environment, meeting deadlines.

Purpose of the role: To support the provision of high-quality patient care within the Offender Health directorate through personal actions and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include:

1. Assisting in the provision of a specialist, safe prison pharmacy ordering, distribution, and supply service, adhering to national and local policies while maintaining high security standards.
2. Performing routine tasks related to the ordering, receipt, storage, and distribution of medicines efficiently and accurately.
3. Providing general advice to colleagues regarding medication availability and pharmacy information.

Additional information: The role involves working under the supervision of a Pharmacy Technician and requires maintaining high standards of safety and security.
