Job summary

Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role based in Preston offers hands-on experience in a busy community pharmacy team. You will support day-to-day running, assist customers at the medicines counter, and train towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

This 15‑month apprenticeship combines on‑the‑job learning with blended training, with opportunities to gain a nationally recognised qualification while earning during the programme.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 in Maths and English desired but not essential; training can be provided.
• If Maths and English Level 2 are not held, tests will determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.

Brief overview of the role

PR4 3AD We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands‑on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.
