Job summary

St Ives Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join our busy community team. You will support day-to-day pharmacy operations, assist customers at the counter, and work towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training.

You will learn on the job, gain hands-on experience in a healthcare environment and provide prescription counter support, stock handling and safe service. No prior pharmacy experience required as full training is provided.

Qualifications

• GCSEs in Maths and English (A-C/4-9) or equivalent required or provided during training.
• No previous pharmacy experience required; full training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.

Working Week: Shifts between Mon-Fri 9am-6.30pm and Sat 9am-5.30pm

Brief Description

PE27 5AD We are looking for a friendly, reliable and motivated Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team. This is a great opportunity to earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

Qualifications Required

GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the job.

For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Training to be Provided

Pharmacy Services Assistant Level 2 (GCSE) and Functional Skills if required.

Future Prospects

This is an exciting role that will include engaging with customers and clients to provide prescription counter services, advice, housekeeping duties such as stock rotation and stock replenishment, helping to deliver a variety of public health services whilst gaining a pharmacy qualification.

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service. You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
