Job summary

Skills4Pharmacy is seeking a friendly Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to join a busy community pharmacy team in Manchester. Earn while you learn, gaining hands-on experience in a healthcare environment while working towards a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship.

Key duties include assisting customers at the medicines counter, helping with prescriptions under supervision, handling stock, and using pharmacy systems. Full training provided, no prior experience needed.

Qualifications

• GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
• For applicants without Maths and English Level 2 or equivalent qualifications, employment will be offered on condition of completing initial Maths and English tests to determine suitability for the course.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to provide prescription counter services and advice.
• Help with stock rotation and stock replenishment.
• Assist with preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
• Work as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
• No previous pharmacy experience is required; full training is provided.

About the role
As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.
You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.
