Job summary

Skills 4 Pharmacy is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice to help run the daily operations of the pharmacy. You will support customers, work with the team, and complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship with full training and support.

You will gain hands-on experience in dispensing support, stock handling, and customer service while developing professional skills in a retail pharmacy environment.

Qualifications

• No prior pharmacy experience required; full training provided.
• GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential.
• Ability to learn quickly and work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Support customers at the medicines counter and respond to queries.
• Assist with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
• Handle stock, deliveries and maintain accurate records.
• Use pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness, health and safety.

Job description

As a Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice, you will support the day-to-day running of the pharmacy, helping customers and working closely with the pharmacy team to ensure safe and efficient service.

You will complete a Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship alongside your role, with full training and support provided.

Key duties include:

• Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries
• Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions (under supervision)
• Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records
• Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales
• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality
• Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service

Apprenticeship details:

Qualification: Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship, GCSEs at A-C or 4-9 or equivalent, in Maths and English desired but not essential as can be provided as part of the course.
