Job summary

The Pharmacy Assistant Apprentice role in Birmingham offers hands-on experience in a busy community pharmacy team, with full training and support to complete the Level 2 Pharmacy Services Assistant Apprenticeship over typically 15 months.

You will help customers at the medicines counter, assist with prescriptions under supervision, manage stock, and use pharmacy systems while maintaining safety and confidentiality.

No prior pharmacy experience is required and you will earn while you learn.

Qualifications

GCSEs in Maths and English desired but not essential as part of the course.
Good communication and customer service skills are important.
Willingness to learn and develop in a healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

Supporting customers at the medicines counter and responding to queries.
Assisting with the preparation and supply of prescriptions under supervision.
Handling stock, deliveries and maintaining accurate records.
Using pharmacy systems to process prescriptions and sales.
Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, health & safety and confidentiality.
Working as part of a team to ensure excellent customer service.
