Job summary

Day Lewis Pharmacy in Woodley, Reading, is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant / Dispenser to support a busy, high-volume community pharmacy. This role offers hands-on dispensing experience and daily patient care in a fast-paced environment.

You'll work closely with a co-owner Pharmacist Manager, gaining exposure to NHS and private services, and developing professional skills through a comprehensive induction and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Experience assisting with dispensing prescriptions
• Ability to work as part of a team in a busy community pharmacy
• Customer-focused approach with good communication skills

Responsibilities

• Assisting with the safe and accurate dispensing of prescriptions
• Supporting the Pharmacist Manager and wider team with daily pharmacy operations
• Providing excellent customer service at the counter and over the telephone

• Building strong relationships with patients, GP surgeries and local healthcare professionals
• Maintaining high standards of organisation, professionalism and compliance

Units 1 & 2, Loddon Vale Centre, Hurricane Way, Woodley, Reading, RG5 4UX

Working Hours

Monday to Friday 9:00am - 4:00pm (60-minute unpaid lunch break)

30 hours per week

Based in a busy 20,000-item pharmacy, no two days are the same. The Role
