Pharmacy Assistant - Relief role

Pharmacy Assistant - Relief role

Job Description: We are seeking a reliable and experienced Relief Pharmacy Assistant to support multiple pharmacy locations across Twyford, Sunninghill and Didcot. This role requires frequent travel between these locations, for which a valid UK driving license and access to a car are essential. Mileage will be reimbursed at 45p per mile upon submission of valid VAT receipts.

Hours: 40 hours per week Monday - Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with dispensing medications accurately and efficiently under the supervision of a pharmacist.
• Provide excellent customer service to patients and answer queries related to prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy standards and regulations at all times.
• Stock management and handling deliveries between locations as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of pharmacy areas.
  
  

Requirements:

• Pharmacy experience and NVQ Level 2 dispensary qualification.
• Familiarity with pharmacy operations and prescription handling processes.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Flexibility to work across multiple locations and adapt to varying work environments.
  
  

Desirable:

• Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Technician (ACT) qualification or equivalent.
• Additional certifications or training relevant to pharmacy operations.
