Job summary

Day Lewis Kingsbridge Pharmacy is seeking a part-time Pharmacy Assistant to support the Pharmacist Manager and deliver patient-centred service in a small team.

The role involves afternoon shifts (until 18:00) 24 hours per week, induction training followed by potential further training to progress in Pharmacy Technician pathway.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Pharmacist to deliver superb customer service and ensure dispensary operations follow company policies.
• Assist on the front counter and be a welcoming support to patients.
• Be an integral part of a small, hard-working and compact team.
• Develop relationships with patients and healthcare organisations to ensure patient-friendly service.

The first stage of this career path at Pharmacy Assistant level is settlinginto our team and completing the Day Lewis Induction training. Then depending on previous pharmacy experience you may need to complete a pharmacy assistant course which can take between3-6 months.

The National Pharmacutical Association's new BTEC Level 3 Diploma - Principles and practices for Pharmacy Technicians - is an integrated course tailored to suit the needs of the learner and the pharmacy at a time when the responsibility and professional recognition of pharmacy technicians is growing.

Reporting directly to the Pharmacist Manager, your support at Pharmacy Assistant level is vital to the team in the provision of advanced and enhanced services.
