Hours This is a full time role, working an average of 37.5 hours per week / 10 shifts per 2 weeks. The team work on a 2 week rota, with alternate weekends. Weekday shifts are 7am - 4pm / 8am - 4pm. Weekend shifts are 8am - 4pm.

Salary

This position isfull time,youll receive an annual salary of £24,669 - £28,690 per annum- depending on experience.

Main duties of the job

As aPharmacy Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

• Support the Pharmacy Technicians and Pharmacy Manager, as well as the wider healthcare team
• Label and dispense medications, and prepare prescriptions
• Second check controlled drugs
• Contribute to services such as medicine reconciliation, managing stock medicines and transportation of medicines
• Provide support to ensure a safe and secure medicines management service, following policies, procedures and standard operating procedures
• Provide a timely and efficient service to the prison wings.
• Receive prescriptions and stick returns from wing based clinical areas.
• Collect orders from suppliers from the Main Gate and arrange collection of return.
• Participate in dispensing of prescriptions.
