Job summary

Circle Health Group in Carmarthen is seeking a Pharmacy Assistant for 37.5 hours per week in a permanent role within the Pharmacy department. Salary up to £27,300 depending on experience, training and qualifications; flexible shift pattern required.

The role involves assisting with preparation and labelling of medicines, stock control, deliveries, and data entry, working as part of a supportive team in a clinical setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with records, prescription tracking, and data entry.

Salary: Up to £27,300.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

Werndale Hospital in Carmarthen is part of Circle Health Group, Britain's leading provider of independent healthcare with a nationwide network of hospitals & clinics, performing more complex surgery than any other private healthcare provider in the country.

We have an opportunity for a Pharmacy Assistant to join their team of staff in thePharmacy department.

This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required tocover a flexible shift pattern.

Duties of this role include:

• Assist in the preparation and labelling of medicines for inpatients, outpatients, and discharge prescriptions under appropriate supervision.
• Support the safe supply of medicines, ensuring accurate picking, packing, and distribution to wards and departments.
• Monitor stock levels and expiry dates, helping maintain accurate inventory across the pharmacy and clinical areas.
• Receive and check deliveries, ensuring correct storage of medications in line with temperature and security guidelines.
• Assist with the completion of relevant records, prescription tracking, and data entry on pharmacy systems.
• Maintain accurate filing and organisation of documentation related to medicine supply and patient care.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Experience in a customer service, healthcare, or stock-handling role.
