Job summary

Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is offering a 15-month level 2 Pharmacy Apprentice position in the Churchill Hospital Pharmacy department. You will train to become a Pharmacy Assistant under Pharmacist supervision alongside Pharmacy Technicians, gaining hands-on experience in a busy hospital setting.

Essential criteria include strong English and numeracy, with additional desirable GCSEs and organisational skills.

Qualifications

• Must have good command of English and be numerate.
• 15-month contract with in-house training.
• Level 2 Specialist BTEC in The Principles and Practices for Pharmacy Support Staff will be undertaken.

Responsibilities

• Undertake basic dispensary duties as directed.
• Unpack pharmacy deliveries, check and load into the robot.
• Restock medicines and rotate stock to ensure correct dates.
• Support pharmacy reception with payments, prescriptions handling and filing.
• Assist with dispensing and labeling medicines for inpatient use.
