Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll help patients feel good through clear advice, care, and a wide range of dispensing services.

You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary, focusing on patients' needs. This is a great opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference in patients' lives.

What you’ll be doing day to day.

Providing health advice through focused conversations with patients, offering clear and accurate answers.

Your duties will include:

  • Adhering to legal and professional standards in pharmacy practice.
  • Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
  • Ensuring efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.

What you’ll need to have.

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 equivalent in Pharmacy Services and prior experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required. Support for completing training within 6 months will be provided if not already qualified.

Career development opportunities include achieving NVQ Level 3 (QCF) in Pharmacy Services and registering with the GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially progressing to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Your pay and benefits will reflect your qualifications and roles.
