Role Overview

The hourly rate for this role is £12.69 and up to £14.05 across selected locations within London.

Exceptional patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you’ll help patients feel good by providing clear advice and a wide range of dispensing services. You will work across the healthcare counter and dispensary to meet patients' needs, offering an excellent opportunity to develop your pharmacy career and make a difference.

Daily Responsibilities

Providing health advice through focused conversations, delivering accurate and clear answers.

Your duties will include:

  1. Tailoring conversations to ensure customers leave informed and confident about their healthcare needs.
  2. Handling technical dispensary tasks, including ordering medicines, labelling, dispensing, endorsing, and collecting prescriptions.
  3. Ensuring compliance with legal and professional standards.
  4. Engaging with GPs and practice teams to promote services and products.
  5. Maintaining efficient dispensary operations and minimizing dispensing losses.
Qualifications and Experience

Applicants should have an NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Services and previous experience as a Pharmacy Dispenser. Completion of a Medicines Counter Assistant (NVQ2) qualification or equivalent is required, with support provided for training if not already completed. Opportunities for further development include achieving NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services and progressing towards registration with GPHC as a Pharmacy Technician, potentially leading to an Accuracy Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) role. Salary and benefits will grow with your qualifications and roles.
