Job overview

We are looking for a proactive and enthusiastic Pharmacy Administrator for the Pharmacy Department at Worthing Hospital and St Richard's Hospital. The successful candidate will be an experienced administrator with excellent communication and organisational skills and the ability to work to a high degree of accuracy.

The successful candidate will provide administration support to the Pharmacy Department across Worthing, Southlands, and St Richard's hospitals and will be required to work cross-site at Worthing and Chichester.

Main duties of the job
  • To provide administration support to the Pharmacy Department cross-site at Worthing and St. Richard's.
  • Provide support to the Pharmacy Office Manager.
  • Provide administration support to the Pharmacy Education and Training team.
  • Management of the pay system.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
  • To work as part of the Pharmacy team, maintaining good communications with all staff.
  • To provide administration support to the Pharmacy Office Manager, and to the wider Pharmacy department.
  • Provide administration support, including meetings management, to the Education and Training team.
  • Provide administration support to the Pharmacy Sustainability Group, including meetings management and co-ordination.
  • To book meeting rooms and update the room booking spreadsheet in a timely manner.
  • To create meeting schedules and send out meeting invitations using Outlook.
  • To record late night and weekend TOIL on staff records and in HealthRoster.
  • To assign pay in HealthRoster, including processing of bank staff timesheets.
  • To assist with the management of the HealthRoster system.
  • Maintaining Pharmacy staff records.
  • Raise orders using the Trust purchasing system as required.
  • To check stock levels of stationary for the Pharmacy department.
  • To type letters, minutes, reports, and procedures and other documents using Microsoft packages to acceptable standards.
  • To create and maintain spreadsheets.
