To be employed in this role:

  • Pass an enhanced safeguarding check.
  • Have at least 6 months continuous employment within the Pharmacy industry (hospital & community).
  • Hold a NVQ2 in Pharmacy Services/Dispensing Assistant qualifications completed by a GPhC accredited route (GPhC approved courses and recognised qualifications | General Pharmaceutical Council).

Our stores operate 24/7, offering flexible shift patterns. Weekend work is required, and flexibility with work patterns may be needed.

As a Pharmacy Accuracy Checking Dispensing Assistant (ACDA), you will:

  • Check the accuracy of dispensed medicines, verify patient details, medication type, dosage, labelling, and packaging.
  • Report medication errors or incidents promptly.
  • Conduct audits of the dispensary and stock levels.
  • Supervise pharmacy assistants to ensure proper dispensing procedures.
  • Maintain documentation and records of tasks.
  • Guide and train pharmacy staff.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Support Pharmacist with patient services and record-keeping.
  • Promote awareness of pharmacy services.

You will develop an understanding of our Standard Operating Procedures and adhere to them.
