Job summary

NHS Scotland Pharmaceutical ‘Specials’ Service (PSS) in Scotland is seeking a pharmacist to join the Production team. The role involves contributing to the manufacture and development of high‑quality unlicensed medicines in a regulated environment.

Applicants should be registered pharmacists; prior GMP/aseptic dispensing or QA experience is advantageous, and full training will be provided. Hours are 36 per week, Monday to Friday, with opportunities for professional development within NHS

• Training will be provided to the successful candidate.

Responsibilities

• Ensure production activities comply with GMP, GCP and MHRA requirements.
• Identify and report problems, deviations or non-conformances promptly.
• Contribute to new product development and document preparation.
• Maintain accurate production records and quality systems.
• Collaborate with Production, QA and R&D for continuous improvement.
