Job summary

Prospect Health are recruiting for a Pharmacy Manager to join a vibrant team in the heart of the Marlow community. This role suits a self-driven, commercially minded Pharmacist who delivers excellent patient care while growing the pharmacy.

You will lead day-to-day operations, manage a team, oversee dispensing, ensure compliance and actively develop NHS services, with scope to increase prescription volume and bonuses.

Qualifications

• GPhC registration and eligibility to work as a Pharmacist in the UK.
• Experience managing a pharmacy team and day-to-day operations.
• Experience delivering a broad range of community pharmacy services.
• Strong understanding of pharmacy compliance and best practice.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support the pharmacy team, including recruitment, training and staff rotas.
• Oversee the preparation and dispensing of prescriptions for collection and delivery.
• Ensure safe and compliant handling of medicines and controlled drugs.
• Manage stock levels, ordering and inventory.
• Check prescriptions and liaise with prescribers.
• Provide professional advice to patients regarding medicines, dosage and side effects.
• Monitor stock expiry dates and maintain controlled drug records.
• Ensure the pharmacy meets regulatory and best-practice standards.
• Maintain high standards of presentation across the pharmacy.
• Respond to patient queries and resolve complaints professionally.
• Deliver and develop NHS pharmacy services.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new services and increase prescription volume.
• Support the commercial development and continued growth of the pharmacy.

Are you a passionate Pharmacist or experienced Pharmacy Manager looking for an exciting opportunity within a well-established community pharmacy?

We are currently recruiting for a Pharmacy Manager to join a fantastic team in the heart of the Marlow community. This is an excellent opportunity for a self-driven, commercially minded Pharmacist who enjoys providing outstanding patient care while playing an active role in developing and growing the pharmacy.

The pharmacy currently dispenses approximately 7,000-9,000 items per month, with plenty of scope for the successful candidate to introduce and develop additional services to increase prescription volume and generate additional bonuses.

The Role

As Pharmacy Manager, you will take responsibility for the smooth day-to-day running of the pharmacy, ensuring high standards of patient care, compliance and service delivery.

You will be responsible for:

• Managing and supporting the pharmacy team, including recruitment, training and staff rotas

About You

We are looking for a GPhC-registered Pharmacist who is passionate about delivering excellent patient care and has a strong understanding of community pharmacy operations.

You will ideally have:

• GPhC registration and eligibility to work as a Pharmacist in the UK
• Previous Pharmacy Manager experience, although strong Pharmacists looking to step into management will be considered
• Experience delivering a broad range of community pharmacy services
• A strong understanding of pharmacy compliance and best practice
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• A proactive and commercially aware approach
• Confidence managing and supporting a pharmacy team
• An interest in developing services and increasing the pharmacy's clinical offering, including CPCS
