· Salary: GBP37,500 - GBP43,000 + GBP2,000 after one year + ongoing bonus of up to 10%

· Hours: Monday-Friday 9am-5pm, Part-Time Available

Are you a qualified Pharmacist seeking better work-life balance? Do you prefer regular hours to enjoy your personal time? We offer a Functional Assessor role with standard 9 to 5 hours, hybrid working, and the opportunity to utilize your skills effectively.

The Role

As a Functional Assessor, your primary responsibility will be to evaluate individuals and how their disabilities or conditions impact their work life.

Using your clinical expertise, you'll listen attentively, record medical histories, and perform physical examinations. You'll produce clear, accurate reports for the Department of Work & Pensions (DWP) to determine eligibility for benefits. The role involves face-to-face assessments and remote consultations via telephone or video.

Whether online or in person, you'll demonstrate sensitivity, compassion, and ask appropriate questions while adhering to best practice standards. You will have sufficient time for each assessment to ensure accuracy and thoroughness. Although you'll work independently, you'll be part of a multidisciplinary team, with support available as needed.

Once you apply, a dedicated SJB Medical recruiter will assist you throughout the virtual application process. Please note, a commitment of at least three days per week is required for this part-time role.

About You
  • An GPhC Registered Pharmacist with at least 12 months of post-registration experience within the last five years.
  • Current Continuing Professional Development (CPD) documented on your CV.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with adaptability to a changing environment.
  • Proficient IT skills and experience with various software.
  • Self-aware, focused on professional growth, honest, and capable of maintaining confidentiality.
  • Motivated to deliver quality customer service with empathy, respect, and sensitivity.
  • Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and standards.
  • Reliable team player willing to support the multidisciplinary team.
  • Eligible to work in the UK (sponsorship not available).
