Job summary

Ysbyty Gwynedd’s pharmacy team at Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board seeks a dynamic pharmacist to join the front door admissions team within the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care, Medical Admissions and Surgical Admissions. Qualifications

• Must hold an MPharm degree or equivalent and be registered with the GPhC.
• Postgraduate qualification in clinical pharmacy or equivalent is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
• Demonstrated ability to implement change and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical pharmacy input to patients in front door and admission areas.

Job Overview

Are you a dynamic and motivated pharmacist looking to make a real impact in urgent and emergency care? Join our innovative team at Ysbyty Gwynedd working as part of the front door admissions team within the Emergency Department, Same Day Emergency Care, Medical Admissions and Surgical Admissions wards.

This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of clinical pharmacy within a fast-paced, patient-focused environment. You will be embedded in the multidisciplinary team, supporting safe and effective medicines use from the point of entry into hospital care through to supporting the transition of patient care back into the community.

We are committed to providing the best learning and supportive experience for pharmacists and believe this is an ideal stepping stone towards specialist/advanced practice. This role will provide opportunity to build on your current prescribing skills and you will be supported to enrol on the advanced clinical practice pathway and gain core advanced level credentialing with the Royal College of Pharmacy. You will have mentorship from experienced advanced and consultant pharmacists.

Our clinical pharmacy team provides a high quality, patient-centred service ensuring safe and effective use of medicines across the integrated health community. As a pharmacist working in our team, you will deliver excellent pharmaceutical care and medicines optimisation to achieve the best outcome for our patients.

Main duties of the job

Your responsibilities will include:

• Providing expert clinical pharmacy input to patients in our front door and admissions areas.
