Job summary

Glan Clwyd Hospital in North Wales is seeking a pharmacist to join the Pharmacy Clinical Trials team within Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board. The role focuses on investigational medicinal products, from protocol review to dispensing and monitoring trial medicines.

You will support study set-up, participate in dispensing and monitoring, and work within oncology/haematology across the North Wales Cancer Centre.

Qualifications

• MPharm degree or equivalent.
• Postgraduate MSc or diploma in clinical pharmacy, or equivalent experience and/or qualifications.
• Registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council.

Responsibilities

• Support a specialist clinical trials pharmacy service.
• Manage investigational medicinal products safely under regulation and Good Clinical Practice.
• Assist in reviewing clinical trial protocols.
• Support study set-up.
• Take part in dispensing, supply and monitoring of trial medicines.
• Give pharmaceutical advice and support patient care within multidisciplinary teams.
• Keep accurate documentation and accountability of trial activity.
• Take part in the weekend and public holiday rota for the wider pharmacy service.
