Rowlands Pharmacy in Luton is seeking a Pharmacist to join our busy branch at 152 Sundon Park, LU3 3AH. Newly qualified candidates could be considered. The role involves dispensing, medication counselling, and collaborating with doctors and nurses to optimise patient care.

The branch uses ProScript System and Medipac robotics. Hours: average 46.5 per week, Mon-Fri 09:00-18:00, alternate Saturdays 09:00-12:00.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist with GPhC.
• Proven experience in a community pharmacy setting.
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety.

Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and with compliance.
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients.
• Collaborate with doctors/nurses to optimise patient care.
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe medication management.
• Maintain patient records and manage pharmacy inventory.
• Provide immunisation services where applicable.
• Advise on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products.

This branch is staffed with an experienced team including a non pharmacist manager, training to be ACPT, 2 dispensers, 3 healthcare partners and 1 traineeproviding an excellent service to the local community from their setting within a town.Currently dispensing around 10,000 items per month, this is a relatively busybranch. As well as providing a variety of services, such as weight management, contraception, flu, Covid and Meningitis B vaccines, this branch also utilises our Medipac robotic distribution technology. This frees up your time to provide the care our patients deserve.

This branch uses ProScript System.

Key Responsibilities

• Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines
• Provide medication counselling and support to patients, answering their questions and addressing concerns
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals, including doctors and nurses, to optimize patient care
• Conduct medication reviews and ensure safe and effective medication management
• Maintain accurate patient records and manage pharmacy inventory
• Provide immunization services (where applicable)
• Offer advice on over-the-counter medications and healthcare products
• Actively participate in health promotion and public health initiatives

What We Require

• Registered Pharmacist with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC)
• Proven experience in a communitypharmacy setting
• Strong commitment to patient care and safety
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
