Job Opportunity: Band 7/8a Pharmacist

We are currently working with a local NHS Trust seeking a Band 7/8a Pharmacist to work at their Acute Mental Health Ward in Lancaster.

What's on offer:

• Contract Length: 3-month initial contract with the possibility of extension
• Rates of pay: £30-£35 per hour
• Location: Lancaster, at an Acute Inpatient Mental Health Ward

Key responsibilities:

• Clinical review of prescriptions and patient-oriented medication review
• Provision of specialist pharmaceutical advice to multidisciplinary teams
• Engagement with patients regarding their medicines to support adherence and improve outcomes
• Potential to utilize non-medical prescribing skills within the role
• Participation in clinical audits and service evaluations
• Supervision of junior pharmacy staff

Requirements:

• GPhC registered Pharmacist (essential)
• Post-registration experience in mental health (desirable)
