About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Pharmacist to join our Primary Care team at HMP Huntercombe, a category C prison based in Nuffield, Oxfordshire. The prison is exclusively for foreign nationals and supports around 500 male patients with primary care, mental health, and substance misuse needs. In this role, you will work in a non-dispensing pharmacy, delivering medication reviews and clinics, including asthma and chronic pain.
Hours
7.5 hours per day, between 7:45 am and 5:00 pm.
Rotation between a 2-day week and a 3-day week.
We are also open to candidates seeking 2 days per week.
Salary
This is a part-time position working 15 hours per week, with an annual salary up to GBP 55,941 per annum (FTE), depending on experience.

What you'll be doing
As the Clinical Pharmacist, your responsibilities will include:
• Ensuring the provision and delivery of an integrated, safe, legal, high-quality prison pharmaceutical service.
• Providing expert advice on pharmaceutical matters and ensuring a safe and modern medicines management service.
• Leading a team of pharmacy technicians.

Qualifications & Experience
• GPhC-registered Pharmacist.
• Vocational Master's Degree in Pharmacy, including pre-registration training.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Experience developing effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
