Job description

A brand-new Pharmacist opportunity has just arisen within a specialist pharmacy team in Chester.

The team works closely with healthcare providers across the area to optimise clinical pharmacy care for their patients, with a particular focus on mental health.

As a Pharmacist, your role will involve resolving clinical enquiries from healthcare professionals in the field – providing expert information and guidance regarding specialist mental health medications and ensuring medication safety management processes are followed concerning related prescriptions.

The service uses an EPMA system and is non-patient-facing.

Full training and development will be provided – previous clinical / mental health pharmacy experience would be beneficial but is not essential for this role.

This would be ideal for a Pharmacist who is looking to develop within clinical pharmacy, in a specialist area, outside of a traditional hospital or primary care setting.

This is a permanent, full-time position, Mon-Fri.

Person specification:

  • (Essential) MPharm degree, OSPAP qualification or equivalent

  • (Essential) Registration with the GPhC

  • (Essential) Comfortable working within a high-volume pharmacy

  • (Desirable) Previous experience within a clinical pharmacy / mental health pharmacy service
