Pharmaceutical Quality Control Analyst - Metrology

Location: Oxfordshire

Sector: Pharmaceutical

Our client is a leading Pharmaceutical CRO based in Oxfordshire. Due to continued expansion, they now have an exciting opportunity for an experienced QC Analyst to join the team and support Metrology projects.

The role:

As a QC Analyst - Metrology, you will be responsible for taking a more instrument-led approach to analytical chemistry and using your experience in Metrology to support the ongoing development of analytical projects.

This role will focus on:

  • Maintenance and calibration of analytical instrumentation
  • Carrying out investigations to highlight functional and preventative issues
  • Running analytical testing to ensure the accuracy of analytical instrumentation
  • Troubleshooting analytical anomalies and providing solutions
  • Interpreting and reporting on laboratory work completed
Experience expectations:
  • Previous Pharmaceutical industry experience in an analytical or QC role is essential
  • Experience with analytical techniques such as HPLC, GC, NMR, UV-Vis, FT-IR
  • Understanding of Quantitative and Qualitative analysis
  • Interest in laboratory instrumentation and calibration
  • Good knowledge of GMP, FDA, and MHRA guidelines
  • Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or Chemical Engineering
  • Organized and methodical approach to work
  • Good communication skills
