Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist - Pilot Plant

Location: Abingdon, Oxfordshire

Evotec is seeking a Pharmaceutical Operator Specialist to join our Pilot Plant team. This role involves operating pilot plant reactors and ancillary equipment following all current procedures (IOPs, BPGs, etc.) to maintain high standards of safety, hygiene, and quality.

  1. Operate reactors and equipment in accordance with procedures.
  2. Follow written instructions accurately.
  3. Report irregularities immediately to supervisors.
  4. Complete documentation precisely and record all irregularities.
  5. Support environmental monitoring activities.
  6. Perform routine maintenance and reconfiguration of equipment.
  7. Participate in training and project schemes for continuous improvement.
  8. Qualifications in Chemistry or related discipline are advantageous.
  9. Awareness of cGMP, regulatory, and pharmaceutical regulations is desirable.
  10. Demonstrate good planning, communication, and teamwork skills.
  11. Manage multiple tasks efficiently with good time management.
  12. Be flexible, adaptable, and proactive in problem-solving.
  13. Contribute to shift handovers and liaise between departments.
  14. Possess IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Office.

Working Environment & Requirements:

  • Manual handling of heavy materials with safe equipment use.
  • Work in confined and cluttered plant settings.
  • Maintain high standards of GMP documentation with attention to detail.
  • Work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights.
