Job summary

GSK Barnard Castle is seeking an Engineering Technician to support the Steriles Business Unit across the production process, including inspection, assembly and packaging of syringes and vials.

The role covers maintenance, calibration, change control, data management in SAP/MERPS, and continuous improvement aligned with GMP and safety standards. Shift pattern is 24/5 with Earlies, Lates and Nights.

Qualifications

• Relevant engineering qualifications and/or experience (e.g. Engineering Apprenticeship, HNC/HND).
• A good standard of numeracy and literacy.
• Knowledge of cGMP and GMP documentation practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support for production processes across Inspect, Assembly, and Packaging.
• Maintain equipment and manage planned/unplanned maintenance and calibration.
• Assist with Engineering Change Controls and local projects including NPI activities.
• Deliver SAP/MERPS data actions: Work Orders, Notifications, data maintenance and vendor data changes.
• Drive continuous improvement and alignment with EHS and quality KPIs.
