Job summary

Mitie in Macclesfield is seeking a Multi-Skilled Technician to support safe, compliant operation of facilities within a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.

You will carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across HVAC, pumps, electrical and building services, diagnose faults, maintain records, and work to GMP standards. This role offers opportunities for ongoing training and progression within a highly regulated setting.

Qualifications

• Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services with UK driving licence.
• Experience in facilities management, pharma or GMP-regulated environments.
• Proven ability to perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs on HVAC, utilities, cleanrooms and critical building services.
• Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, health and safety, GMP/GDP, BMS; certifications such as 18th Edition, IOSH, IPAF, PASMA or F‑Gas are advantageous.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, customer service and IT skills, with proficiency in Office and CMMS.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventive maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across mechanical, electrical and building services systems.
• Diagnose faults, complete repairs and escalate specialist issues where required.
• Maintain equipment including HVAC plant, pumps, motors, pipework, compressed air, water and steam systems.
• Support electrical systems, lighting, power distribution and associated plant equipment.
• Ensure all activities comply with GMP, health and safety requirements, site procedures and permit-to-work systems.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records, update CAFM systems and support continuous improvement initiatives.
