Overview

This role is only open to current postgraduate research students at the University of Leeds. The role will be based on the university campus, and flexible working arrangements can be discussed.

Are you a postgraduate research student at the University of Leeds who is passionate about enhancing the experience and support available for PGRs from underrepresented groups in Leeds? Would you like to use your knowledge and experience to improve the lives of PGRs from underrepresented groups while gaining some professional experience?

About the team

The University of Leeds PGR Diversity Team, based in Educational Engagement, designs and implements programmes and activities to support PGRs from underrepresented groups to succeed. The team collaborates with the Doctoral College, Students’ Union and other stakeholders across the university to deliver programmes and events that meet the needs of underrepresented PGRs.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a liaison between the PGR Diversity Team and underrepresented PGRs in Leeds.
  • Work with other members of the committee and the PGR Diversity Team to deliver agreed retention and progression events.
Qualifications and skills
  • Strong communication, negotiation, teamwork, advocacy and organisational skills.
