Our Client is a leading PFI / PPP Investor with a diverse range of social, economic and environmental infrastructure assets. They now require an experienced PFI professional to assist them with the contractual management of one of their high-profile PFI assets.

Acting as the PFI Project Director (or equivalent) you will provide both strategic direction and day-to-day management of the contractual operation of a high-profile infrastructure asset.

Reporting into the Project Investment Board, the main responsibilities are:

  • Managing complex relationships and interfaces with the Project Investment Board, Lenders and the Client.
  • The ideal candidate will be very commercially astute.
  • You will be required to technically credible in front of the public sector client. Whilst you do not need to be technically qualified, the ideal candidate would have been involved in a complex PFI environment.
  • Applicants will likely have a highly commercial contractual skill-set.
  • The role essentially is a commercial lead that sits between the PFI SPV team and the Investors / key stakeholders.
  • Lead on stake-holder management and manage corporate governance.

Ideal Candidate

  • Ideally you will come from a PFI SPV, FM or Sponsor / Sub-contractor background.
  • You must have solid PFI experience of managing complex PFI Projects where excellent commercial and contractual skills are essential.
  • Senior commercial strategic thinker who can ruthlessly prioritise and lead a performance improvement plan / turnaround type strategy.
  • We are ideally looking for a professional with excellent commercial / contractual skills obtained in a social infrastructure environment - education, healthcare, social housing or similar.
