We currently have a vacancy for a PFI General Manager to join our Asset Operations team at Kajima Partnerships Ltd.

The role would suit an astute, people-focused candidate with genuine enjoyment of team working and problem solving in complex environments. Our Asset Managers sit on the SPV board as statutory directors. They should have an excellent eye for detail and report writing skills, be confident and capable with sharing and presenting information. The role will be home based with some travel required to the asset sites. The job holder will ideally live in the Nottingham/Leicester/Peterborough Area.

The main responsibilities will include:

1. Ensure that Kajima Partnerships Limited is meeting its obligations under its Management Services Agreement with the Project Company, bringing any actual or potential non-compliance to the attention of the Head of PPP Asset Management.
2. Ensure the delivery of and compliance with all obligations of the Project Agreement, Project finance documents and associated contract documents on behalf of the Project Company.
3. Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the Project Agreement, Schedules to the Agreement and associated Service Provider sub-contracts.
4. Ensure effective liaison with the Board and Funders as required by the Project Agreement and Project Finance Documents.
5. In conjunction with the Company Secretary, ensure that Board meetings and proceedings are properly managed and recorded as required by the Project Agreement.
6. Commercial and Financial Management of projects.
7. Operational management of projects.
8. Service Performance management.
9. Commercial responsibilities and board Director role for the Project Co.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

1. Proven experience working with complex Project Agreements in PFI projects or similar complex environments.
2. Good general understanding of the funding and contractual structure of PFI projects.
3. Ability to successfully manage relationships with stakeholders, such as Project Company Boards, funders/lenders, sub-contractors and public sector bodies at a senior level. Management of performance monitoring regimes for both Hard and Soft FM.
4. Working with detailed contractual/statutory/legal documents and ensuring compliance.
5. Provision of advice and guidance to other parties on key risk management matters.
6. Experience in implementing, monitoring and updating systems and processes to manage complex contractual matters to ensure compliance with rights and obligations.
7. Ability to interpret information and undertake complex analysis of information from differing sources to formulate a cohesive risk assessment.
8. Ability to effectively manage potential and actual disputes to minimise risk to the Project Company.
9. Experience in applying value-for-money principles to PFI lifecycle expenditure.
10. Ability to identify key information and report it in a timely and appropriate manner.
11. Leadership and effective team management experience, both for direct report teams and in an inter-agency setting.
12. Proven ability to identify and follow up on potential business development opportunities.
13. Proven experience in building strong working relationships with other stakeholders whilst ensuring that the best interests of the project are promoted and maintained.
14. Commitment to professional and personal development ensuring up-to-date continuous knowledge of legislative and statutory changes.
