Job description

Job Title: Facilities Manager

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: 3 months with potential to extend

Pay Rate: 20 – 25 PAYE (with holiday accrued)

Job Objectives and Responsibilities

To provide Facilities Management control and support to identified contract(s) in a professional manner to ensure efficient and effective operation, achieving and maintaining full contractual compliance.

Support the Account Manager in managing and delivering contractual obligations and client expectations for the identified contract(s).

Main Duties
  1. Manage and support Facilities Managers in operational management and delivery of contract requirements and services, ensuring budget and specification targets are met.
  2. Submit and present annual contract budgets for approval by the Operations Director.
  3. Implement controls to monitor service delivery by clients and subcontractors.
  4. Review controls regularly with Facilities Managers and ensure appropriate actions, such as statutory compliance and health & safety inspections, are taken.
  5. Assist Facilities Managers in identifying contractual requirements and guide site teams to deliver SLAs timely and in accordance with agreements.
  6. Maintain proper contract administration and record-keeping, auditing during site visits.
  7. Coordinate planned preventative maintenance and lifecycle works with the Account Manager.
  8. Manage staff recruitment, training, retention, and development in line with HR policies.
  9. Develop succession plans for client personnel within the contract management.
  10. Establish and maintain subcontractor arrangements, conducting regular performance reviews.
  11. Candidate must pass an enhanced DBS check or have a recent one.
