Peters Fraser and Dunlop: Literary Agent

We are expanding, and are looking for an experienced Literary Agent to join our team in the Books Department

PFD is one of the leading literary agencies in London, providing specialist expertise to its clients in all aspects of publishing and media.

PFD represents a wide range of authors, across all genres and styles, and we are especially looking for an Agent with a thriving and growing fiction list, particularly in the areas of genre, commercial, crime and book club fiction. The ideal candidate will have several years' experience as a literary agent, a nose for new talent, sharp negotiating skills and a growing list of clients. PFD prides itself on its collaborative and collegiate atmosphere, and we would ensure that any agent joining our team would be provided with all the support they need (especially from our Foreign Rights and Broadcast departments) to grow their career and maximise opportunities for their clients.

• Established literary agent with several years’ experience
• A broad client list (both fiction and non-fiction) with an emphasis on fiction
• Commercial taste and an interest in genre fiction
• Good negotiating skills
• Ability to work independently and generate new business
• Team player able to work well with other departments
