Job summary

Butternut Box is seeking an experienced Technical Product Owner to lead the Additional Products and gifting portfolio across both brands. You will own the end‑to‑end product pipeline, from concept to specification, testing, and launch, partnering with manufacturing to ensure scale‑up and compliant claims.

You will manage a small team in a hybrid UK setting (London or Doncaster), shaping long‑term roadmaps while maintaining a strong customer focus and rigorous evidence for every product.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in technical product development, innovation or R&D
• Hands-on technical depth from concept through formulation, testing, and launch
• Strong experience with third‑party manufacturers and suppliers
• Experience across food and non‑food products is a plus, ideally in pet or regulated consumer goods
• Commercial thinking with ability to balance quality, cost and customer value

Responsibilities

• Own the Additional Products and gifting pipeline across both brands from concept to launch.
• Define recipes, specifications, nutritional targets and product briefs with manufacturing teams.
• Lead factory trials and scale‑up, resolving technical issues for launch readiness.
• Own claims substantiation with robust evidence and post‑launch reviews for learnings.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver high‑quality product pipelines.
